The Whelan sisters are three creative powerhouses in interiors, home goods, and design, so when they approached me to collaborate on their design studio's brand strategy and identity design, I was elated. While our work is equally inspired by life on the coast, their aesthetic also heavily references southern living and high fashion.

I created dual logos for their multifaceted creative house. The shell logo alludes to the handmade nature of their work and creates a rough-sketch design language for the brand. This hand-done feel contrasts the boxed, clean logo, giving the sisters room to expand the contrasting elements of their business.

Beach House Studio does everything from creating hand drawn wallpaper and gift wrap, to website design; from residential interiors, to creative consulting with your business. This expansive offering made for a complex brand strategy - How can they best reach all of their different audiences? How do we communicate their vibe and style as designers while also leaving room for that of a potential client?

For the brand's creative direction and photography style, we went for a cottage-core, high taste, maximalist look. I wanted them to show their audience the Whelan world through their creative eyes and perspective.
